The Practical Driving Test is designed for you to demonstrate your driving skills, understanding of the Highway Code and the theory of safe driving. Throughout the test your examiner will be looking for an overall safe standard of driving. For more details click here.
When your Instructor advises your driving has reached the necessary standard, you can book your Practical Test on-line or by phone on 0300 200 1122. It will be sensible to check when your Instructor is available before booking the test as they may have other commitments on that day.
You make the payment direct to the DSA and the cost of the practical test = £62.
If you are using your instructors car you will need a practice lesson before the test. You will need to book 2 hours on the day. This breaks down as 1 hours lesson before the test so you can run through everything one last time and 1 hour to cover the test and the debrief.
